Meet Ms. Galos

Language Arts, 7th Grade Homeroom

Ms. Denay Galos teaches 6th-8th grade language arts. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Literature and Language from Cal Poly Pomona, as well as a Master’s Degree in Urban Education from Loyola Marymount University. Currently she is continuing her education at Loyola Marymount University where she is pursuing her Educational Doctorate Degree in Educational Leadership and Social Justice.

She has been teaching middle school language arts since 2018. Ms. Galos thoroughly enjoys her content area, as well as having the opportunity to explore literature with her students. In addition to teaching, she is also the Dean of Student Activities here at Visitation. Her leadership coupled with her involvement in moderating and mentoring students can be seen throughout the campus.

Ms. Galos grew up in the Bay Area where she received a Catholic education through high school. To pursue her own higher education she relocated to Southern California and has lived here ever since. When Ms. Galos is not teaching, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family who live up north. Some of her favorite activities are frequenting the beach, cycling, and experiencing new outdoor activities.
