Meet Mrs. Llorens
4th Grade Teacher
Tina Llorens (LLORENS, pronounced lor-enz), is excited to be a part of the Visitation school community! As a proud LA native, and product of Catholic Schools herself, she believes in the gifts and treasures that are unique to Catholic schools. She caught the teaching bug from her mother, (a lifelong kindergarten teacher), who became a colleague in early years.
Mrs. Llorens has taught in several schools, in a variety of communities: urban, suburban, and inner-city, working in public, private, and parochial schools. Her primary focus has been in 4th and 5th grade. With this age group, she works to help students find, nurture, and put into use their God-given gifts and talents. She has a natural bias for children this age, believing they are often the best people on the planet! They like to find ways to save the planet, and Mrs.Llorens likes to foster their pursuits to do so. She works to educate through a wide variety of learning styles, and hands-on experiences so that every student feels empowered and capable. She shares the belief that good literature should provide both windows and doors.
Mrs. Llorens is a graduate of California State University, Dominguez Hills. She received both her Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Studies along with her multiple subject clearCLAD credential.
When not teaching, Mrs. Llorens loves spending time with her husband, three children, and large extended family. She enjoys reading, gardening, dancing, cooking, and traveling.
